I love the way God talks to us. He shoots straight, pulling no punches. "You're jumping into the ring with an opponent who is WAY bigger and stronger and smarter than you. You don't stand a chance." (Thanks, coach.)

I love this quality about God as well. He does not *wink* at sin or ask us to pretend hurts don't hurt or that joys aren't joys. He reminds us that He will heal all wounds and coalesce all joys in Christ. He is blunt and He is good. No tame lion do we have in Jesus.
