Deuteronomy 33-34

The God of old is your dwelling place,
and underneath are the everlasting arms.
You don't get any better than that!

"Moses, servant of the Lord."  Man I would love to have that be my epitaph!  And then he was laid to rest by God Himself.  That's quite a finale for Moses.

Read it here.

  2. I am very comforted when I think about how ancient, historic, and sustaining God is in His persons.

He alone is worthy of praise and by His grace we may receive praise from His merciful tongue merited for us in Christ. It is unbelievable that He seeks to honor and bless us, to reward us with anything other than the wages we have earned in sin. It is grace upon grace, scandalous beyond scandal, that we, His creation, would be honored in His sight.
