Deuteronomy 31-32

"Be strong and courageous; don't be terrified or afraid of them.  For it is the Lord your God who goes with you; He will not leave you or forsake you" (31:6)

Then Moses wrote a song so that God's people would remember his words... (BTW -  when you read about "an inferior people ... a foolish nation" in 32:21, read "ME!")

Read it here.

  1. How fortuitous! My blog today is over 1 Cor. 16:13-14 where Paul calls the men of Corinth to "act like men," or "play the man," which derives from the greek andrizomai which is translated in the Old Testament Septuagint as "be strong and courageous!"

A leader in whom you can place your trust and confidence is Who our God is in His faithful promises. He calls us as men to use our strength and confidence to inspire others (women, children, weak, poor, widow) to confidence and security by the provision God allows us to execute.
