God to Abram: "Live in My presence and be blameless" (17:1). Wow, I could meditate on that nugget for a long time! But it wasn't to begin and end with Abram ... "For I have chosen [Abram] so that he will command his children and his house after him to keep the way of the Lord by doing what is right and just" (18:19).
We are called by God and then we are to bring others (our families for starters) along with us.
