They had been restored from the Babylonian captivity but had returned to some of the spiritual apathy and sin that had marked their forefathers. Yep... God shows His mercy again (and again and again it seems). Can't help but see Jesus loud and clear in that verse 3:4. And also 2:10-13. "....I am coming to dwell among you....many nations will join themselves to the Lord on that day...I will dwell among you... be silent.. for He is coming from His holy dwelling."
ReplyDeleteSure sounds like John 1:14 to me. ..."The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us. We have seen His Glory, the glory of the One and only Who came from the Father full of grace and truth". And the truth that Jesus is coming for EVERYONE..."All nations"...Not just the chosen people.
