Haggai brings four messages from God to His people. All four are recorded in this short two-chapter book. The people needed a motivating kick in the pants. They were dawdling around when there was work to be done on restoring the Temple. God used this man (and his co-laborer, Zechariah) to fuel a passion for completing the work God had called them to.

Haha. .. that's a good way to describe it. .a kick in the pants! God used one sentence. .. WORK! 2:4. Interesting how God's commands of. .. be strong, don't be afraid, I am with you, etc. are associated with another "Joshua". And I catch how the people obeyed God first. . AND THEN the spirit was among them! I think I can get that backwards sometimes. .. and if so.. there's not much happening. Oh. .. and couldn't help but think of Jesus again. . "The final glory of this house will be greater than the first"; says the Lord of Hosts! There will no greater glory than when He comes again!
