Nehemiah is a stud leader! This is a great picture of enormous effort coupled with complete, prayerful dependence on God. It is not an either/or proposition.
Yes. .. I noted that when it comes to fighting obstacles in building God's Kingdom...we need to pray to God and totally rely on Him. And also... we need "weapons" to guard and protect. To me that greatest weapon is the Bible... the knowledge of God's word... without that, I can't defend/build His Kingdom.
