Proverbs 2

An interesting structure to this chapter. The first half invites the listener to go on a desperate hunt for wisdom -and it will reap great reward!  The second half of the proverb tells us of a wonderful benefit to finding wisdom-it keeps and protects us from the destructive "ways of darkness".  Good stuff!

  1. as we read in our John 1:1-5 passage from the GladSurrender Blog this morning, Jesus shines His light into our darkness.

My life was characterized largely by the pursuit of darkness, the love of darkness and the expertise of darkness prior to Jesus shining His light into my world. My darkness could not extinguish His light and it set up shop in my heart by producing faith to believe and hope to work hard in response to His pursuit of me.
