Psalms 55-56

Have you ever been insulted or betrayed by a good friend, even a brother?  The psalmist understood.  As did Jesus.

"Be gracious to me, God, for man tramples me" (56:1).

Read it here.

  1. Proverbs 18:24

24 A man with many friends may be harmed,
but there is a friend who stays closer than a brother.

How blessed are we to have Jesus, who intentionally enters into our sorrows?

    Hebrews 2:10-11

10 For in bringing many sons to glory, it was entirely appropriate that God—all things exist for Him and through Him—should make the source of their salvation perfect through sufferings. 11 For the One who sanctifies and those who are sanctified all have one Father. That is why Jesus is not ashamed to call them brothers
