Proverbs 14

Have you ever watched someone tear their life apart by their own hands?  Fools who despise wisdom, who are devious, who lie, who are disloyal, who gets ticked off very quickly, etc. do this.

Much of Proverbs is written to teach the righteous how to walk in wisdom AND to reveal to them what the alternative is.  Notice the stark contrasts in almost every verse in this passage.

The fear of the Lord is a fountain of life,
turning people away from the snares of death.
(14:27)

Read it here.

  1. from Jesus flow living waters and a fountain of life. to fear Him is to be refreshed in Him.

regular water often serves merely to provide us the opportunity to bind ourselves more to death.

all water ends in death if not living water.
