Judges 9-10

"Go cry out to the gods you have chosen." What a frightening thought. We chase gods that are not really gods at all. And then we fall into the pit that we have dug with our own hands. We cry out to the one, true God. What if He replied like this? Thank You for Your patience, Yahweh! Thank You that You don't treat us as our sins deserve. Read it here ...

  1. I love that our God has s sense of humor and a little bite to some of His jokes.

"You have chosen for yourself things that cannot hear, speak, move, or do as your gods. Fine. I hear your cries for help (because I am God and I can hear) but perhaps you should turn to your "gods" to help you now. After all, they are worthy of your praise and adoration, aren't they? I mean you are so smart and wise and would never choose a foolish god to worship, would you?"

God is funny. But it cuts clean to the heart, doesn't it?
