Psalms 86-88

For You, Lord, are kind and ready to forgive,
rich in faithful love to all who call on You.
Lord, hear my prayer;
listen to my plea for mercy.
I call on You in the day of my distress,
for You will answer me.

And if I ever get this low, may I find myself turning to God as the psalmist does...
You have distanced loved one and neighbor from me;
darkness is my only friend.

  1. Romans 8 taught us we are more than conquerors. We don't just survive darkness, we worship God when darkness is all we know. We do not just get through difficult times. We find ourselves honoring God in the midst of them. We acknowledge both His goodness and His power and accept them both in whatever circumstances we find ourselves.
